Ising model in two dimensions. Molecular vibrations. Molecular dynamics. Nuclear charge densities. Nuclear shell model. Order and chaos. Potential scattering. Quantum scattering. Self-organization in chemical reactions. Space craft kinematics. Special functions. Schroedinger equation. Wave phenomena. Wave equation.

Assessment is by assignments and examination.

Prerequisite(s): MAT203 or MAT214 or both MAT215 (or APM212) and MAT216 (or APM211).
